Ahh. Its good to be back on this forum. Like a damn fine scotch, I see it has gotten better with age.

This is an introduction of myself for those who don't know me, and a shout out to all of my forums buddies that remember me.

Here are some pictures of recent trips I've been on. I haven't been an active forum member here for so long that my account got closed down due to inactivity! (Formerly Recluse5, for those of you who may remember....or care...or not. lol)

I Had taken my Grandfather on a canoe trip in northern BC to chase some rainbows on our favorite river. During the first day i took this picture of a rainbow he had on the hook. The fish jumped..I took the shot. Later when we looked at it we could see that the trout flipped the hook. I got this picture of the fish in the air, along with his red doc spratley!!!! This will only every happen once in my lifetime!

We had a good time. Many fish were caught and safely released to live another day.

The fishing has been awesome. Caught this nice rainbow in western Alberta.

Have i mentioned that I love axes...
    This thing is a brute.

Primitive fire making is also a passion of mine. I have dedicate a lot of time to learning what types of wood works best for certain seasons. I have failed and succeeded, but had fun the whole time.

    IMG_1044.JPG

As you can see, the fines are dark, indicating too much pressure on my part. I was burning in, so it didn't matter as much. Once the notch was cut, it was a different story!

I also enjoy cooking...A lot...I like drinking beer too. Beer is good.

    IMG_1117.JPG More Bacon.JPG

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this small example of some of my trips. I have a lot of catching up to do and have a lot of pictures and write ups to share.

    There is more to come!

    Thanks for looking.

I also like chainsaws...Husky chainsaws are the sh*t.

Building primitive traps is also an interest of mine...Sometimes they have a modern element to them...

....you are quite correct....but here that does not mean there will not be some friendly banter....sheeps are of course off limits... :D Many years ago I managed a shop that also sold power equipment, we only stocked Stihl and Husky saws.....hard to split them in reality.

I mean a real saw. Not a piece of sheeit you'd find in Home Depot.

There are a couple of other decent brands, but none that have the support and availability the world around I suspect.
