#deezullife My old 3.5 Ecoboost pulled like a pissed off donkey, but the 6.7 Powerstroke pulls like an Ox on steroids. The 2.7EB is literally only meant for the guys that don't want the bottom of the barrel engine option, but don't have the need to actually tow/haul anything. You'll get really good mileage out of them, but that's really about it. If you need to actually tow anything go with the 5.0 or the 3.5. You'll be disappointed with anything else in the F150 platform. If you go with their Powerstroke option, us guys with the big trucks will just point and laugh and call it a Honda. But in all seriousness, the 2.7 isn't a bad engine. It's just fairly new, and that would keep me a bit hesitant. The 3.5 has been around since 2011 I believe, and no major issues have been brought up except for their apparent love for collecting carbon and fouling spark plugs every once in a while. If you're looking at buying brand new and just want a truck that's good on gas, won't need to actually do any work for you and you plan on keeping the factory warranty (leaving the truck stock) then the 2.7 definitely isn't a bad option. But just an FYI, I just finished up a 1,200 mile trip hauling 6,500lbs of horses and trailer, with 350lbs of meat in the bed (inside of a deep freezer) with an 80lb air compressor and my 200lb grill/smoker. Hauling ass around 75-80mph the whole time and getting 16mpg while on 35" tires. Try that with any F150 and you'll be somewhere in the single digits.
You don't want his truck. You'll spend too much time trying to keep those Canadian Sasquatch women from trying to climb in. The green monster is quite the chick magnet.
BC Canada man...... hottest hippy chicks around! you gotta come up for a vacation and check out WRECK BEACH on a long weekend.
Yep... just picked up one with the 2.7L turbo on Sat. Only thing I'll be hauling is some mulch and a couple cases of beer. Now I need some nerf bars, bedliner, bed cover, tow strap... etc.
He could post from the neck up. I just think we’d have a better shot at getting some clear Loch Ness photos.
Okay so now that you've bought the truck @Zeek , let's see some pictures! This was somewhere around Louisiana, I think. Don't let me fool you though, this is how I spent the majority of the trip lol
