How'd I miss this thread until now?

Must've been dark; didn't have my LED out. (Rides in my pocket EDC.)

Lights out for me soon after a long day.

I'll be back with pics of my main lights.

Main EDC are both 4Sevens: Quark 123 (EDC) and my newest, Maelstrom, a gift.

Notecore Tube. USB rechargeable. 45 Lumens. The lime green item.
I gave these to most of the females in my family for Xmas. I remind them to test and keep them charged.

What would you all recommend for a single or double AA EDC flashlight. Slim profile, preferably no clip and clicky.

For a single AA it's hard to beat the fenix LD12 (2017). I have the older one and the 2017 model and both have been solid. They run on AA, the newer one will also run on a 14500 battery for higher brightness. You can pull off the clip if you like.
    Regards,
    Kevin

Should have a new Maratac AAx2 extreme rev 4 monday, anybody else have experience with these? Other than a nitecore srt3 that seems alittle finicky I don't have much experience with tactical lights, my go to lights have always been maglites, for the money I find them really hard to beat.

Streamlight Microstream is a great light. AAA, clicky, removable clip, great price. Nothing fancy but a good EDC light. I carry mine often. 14910799266712024996517.jpg

Had a microstream, great light, but I replaced it with a surefire titan. Looking for something a bit bigger that throws more light. Often need to light up across open fields in the night.

For something inexpensive the Fenix E12 is pretty nice. The LD11 and LD12 are nicer lights with better beam quality and they can also use 14500 batteries, but they're also bigger. The Fenix LD11 is my favorite single AA light.

Fidgeting with my flashlights while on the phone with a client, I just found out my Lumintop IYP365 head fits on my Maratac AAA (but not the other way around). Kinda cool, since the Maratac is a cool-white CREE XPG-2 S4 emitter and my Lumitop is the neutral white Nichia 219BT emitter - which produces a much more natural light that doesn't wash out as much as the CREE.

Just purchased a new Fenix CL 20.

You could probably go through life with just three lights.

A flashlight, a headlamp, and a lantern, a great addition though is a small area light like the CL20. It's compact, takes AA or CR123A, has a magnetic base, a loop for hanging, and variable white and red outputs.
This will probably replace one of my lanterns. Here it is doing some duty around our motorhome.

Own a Malkoff MD2 again. With the tricap this time. Keeps it from rolling around, has an overall better feel than the standard tail cap, and should be better for gloved hands. Makes the light more aesthetically pleasing as well. Decided to put the M61NL with a high/low ring in instead of the M61NLL that I just purchased. The M61NLL is living in the Surefire 6P that I had the M61NL in.
