Do you butcher yourself? Or do you send them out? I butcher most of my deer I kill, and have butchered wild pigs in the past.

We butcher it all ourselves. Goats will be easier than a deer. Chickens are a pain with all the plucking but its worth it.

Only takes about a minute. Just watch the fingers. They didn't even bleed that much. Although one nearly took off flying without a head. It was impressive.

Brings back memories from my childhood... good times. Neighbors had a huge gathering every fall, got the work done but also a lot of food, fun, and family time.

There was one time my dog (then a puppy) got ahold of one of the hens and put a pretty large hole in her neck. Blood was squirting out of it. I was working on a client's server and didn't have time to deal with it and also didn't want to get blood all over myself. Tossed some bird shot into the shotgun and took care of it.

Fastest I've ever seen a bird stop moving.

Just went out for a late evening of chicken catching and there were no less than 16 white tail deer eating the winter cover. Anyone want any?

Got my garden seeded last week. A little late but still looking good! This year we are doing Brandywine and beefsteak tomatoes, okra, jalapeño, Brussel sprouts, squash, broccoli, & carrots.

Custom oyster shell dispenser for the chickens. It had to be two positions for when the coop is moved.

This was my first week using a rock bucket for clearing the field. It was amazing, I don't want to return it.
