That's an awesome rifle. How are you liking that Aero mount? I have a Leupold Mk AR 1.5-4 on my 16" AR and I'm currently using the Burris PEPR mount but I like how slim the Aero mount is. Plus, it doesn't cost $4,000 like Larue mounts.

 

It's a nice mount for sure. Kind of set this one up thinking it would compliment my reloading hobby and I could play around with my boy doing some more precision type work. Seems like there's never enough time though. I was able to load several hundreds rounds last winter that are still sitting on the shelf.

I've been considering moving up to a 2-10x optic on my 16" AR. It isn't necessarily an SPR, more of a multi-purpose rifle. But making those long shots with the 4X sure can be tough when the target is on the small side. The problem is, I love the SPR-G reticle that's in my Leupold. I don't want to lose that by going to something else.

 

Sounds like you need to buy another AR for those longer shots.

 

Hey @Bcamos, another option for you... ever consider a 5.56 bolt gun just to mix things up?
Here's my RAR in 223, got ot a few years ago before they offered it in 5.56mm. Scope is the Vortex Viper PST 2.5-10x44mm with the EBR-1 (MRAD) reticle. Inexpensive rifle and mine shoots great.

They're making one now in Kryptek Highlander Camo too... just trying to be helpful.
