OK, so I'm pretty much committed to adding a 6HM to my kit.

So that means I should have one by 2019, right?

Since Soon™ is a reality, and since this 6 in my kit will be used mostly to split firewood via batoning (my RB3 takes care of carving, and Izula has the kitchen and EDC small stuff covered), and since a traditional 6 is going to be less expensive (at least initially) than a 6HM, I'm reconsidering. Maybe a traditional 6 will be in the kit, instead.

This one would be hard to leave behind in camp.

This one could work as well. There's no "dark earth" (aka desert tan) w/in 200 mi of here. So it'd stick out on the forest floor like a deer on 5th Ave in BOS. And those micarta scales would grip the leather gloves that I wear during batoning.

And it would be more fitting for black tie events. <ahem>

    Hmm. So many choices.

I got this for a friend.

I feel that the canvas micarta really mellows it out yet keeping the VG looking cool

To make it even harder to lose we will have the 5-6 MOLLE back and pouch available in bright orange in a couple of weeks.)))
The 6HM is in production in the shop right now. It won't be much longer.))

Great, if people misplace their knife, all they have to do is follow the swarms of bees or hummingbirds hovering over the visible knife or sheath.

This is a total score for me. Yes, mellows it -- especially when sheathed -- but makes it findable (for those of us who don't always pay close enough attention) and therefore more functional. Love it.

Something in this knife sequence, bottom to top, is missing.

It appears that the missing item -- #6 replacing the yellow tape -- is ~ 11.75" total.

I can't figure out what it is that's missing.

    Can you help?

Cooking eggs by boiling. They'll become deviled eggs around mid night.

I hope I've got more of those almonds roasted in butter and Celtic sea salt ...

    The first one was good.

Egg, mayo, mustard, pickle relish, diced onion,
diced tomato, Celtic sea salt, black pepper, paprika.

I think I'll add some horseradish to the second one ... in the morning ..

Sour cream for deviled eggs is an excellent idea. Will do.

OK, I dreamed of using a 6 last night to process wood. This is getting serious.

Question for those in the know: will the 6 HM initially be available in traditional colors only -- i.e., black blade, green micarta? Or will there be other color blades -- especially -- initially?

Black blade, canvas micarta. Same as the 3 and 4 HM models. Mike

Thanks, Mike. I expected that -- totally reasonable to start with the basics. But just wanted to make sure.
