Grilling tonight. Eggplant, corn, fennel, mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, chicken breast, and shrimp (not shown).
Oh heck yeah! It officially Springtime, bring on the cast iron, wood smoke and grill some meat products!
Jalapeño and chedder sausage with hormel chilli, and Busch to wash it down. Hunting camp is in full swing!
Bates USMC desert boots. They are rough out but I wax them anyway and just let it wear. Wide footbed, very comfortable.
I was introduced to Soy Vay in the mid 2000’s. I was out on a several day camping/dirt biking trip with several friends. After a long days ride, it was time for beer and grill duty. One had this container filled with thick cut chops and this liquid concoction that unleashed an smell that was indescribable good. The smell intensified cooking indirect over hardwood lump. The taste..even better! I mostly use dry rubs, with the exception of deer/elk—olive oil, salt, pepper and fresh rosemary. This is easy and will impress every time on pork and chicken. Washed chicken ready for a slumber. This is a kosher marinade. After so many hours, it will start to cure the meat—lessen cook time. Cook indirect, low and slow.
Fresh from the garden Collards, Swiss chard, carrots, and a baby red bell pepper Ground pork from the woods, cup of rice, and some asian seasoning. And a Coors light to wash it down
