My random thought of the day.
My zero turn mower is trashed. Thought I’d buy a nice Honda self propelled mower to replace it. It now takes me 2-1/2 hours and three tanks of fuel to cut it. Ordering a belly mower attachment for my Massey tractor today.

Big Brown Bear covering something in the new MagnaCut steel using an ESEE 6 as a familiar baseline for comparison.

Looks like I am going to be adopting another dog…
Neighbors are borderline animal neglectful of their 7th month old puppy.. Inappropriate shelter, food, Water, time, attention, etc…
BUT and at least they know it and asked if I could adopt her and give her a better home…

Got the new puppy today. Neighbor brought over the 5 x10 kennel she spent most days and nights in. Split it in half and added 7 foot tall deer fencing to make a 15 x 35 play kennel!

Just wanted to share my experience with a warranty claim from Work Sharp Products.
Their customer service is absolutely the best and they make damn sure that you the customer are taken care of if you have any issues at all with their products. Zach from Work Sharp is a genuine honest person who goes far and beyond to help you and with very quick email responses as well as shipping speed too. I normally wouldn't post this anywhere but just wanted others to know that they have an excellent custom service and will make certain your issues are solved. Companies like this are a rarity anymore so they deserve to have a good review told so others can trust them as well.

Feels so weird we're dipping out. I was deployed to Diego Garcia when the war began. We established a logistical path, and gathered reconnaissance. Hard to believe it was 20 years ago... When did I get so old?

The idea is floating around. Tennessee might be the next place we (sbgirl and myself) call home. Preferably the area south of Knoxville.

@Justin Bohnett I used to work with an ex Air Force pilot that, well, did a lot of flying. Let's call him RR. He had a bunch of good stories from back in the cold war days. One of them was, "man, you don't want to miss Diego Garcia". It's a long story about how hard it was to find that little island way before GPS and the anxiety around getting it wrong.

How funny would it be if RR was into ESEE knives and dropped in here. I really connected with him when I joined the agency I currently serve. He retired a few years ago and had a **** eating grin on his face leading up to it. Good for him!

I Was trying to mow my lawn a little shorter then normal yesterday. I didn’t see a well hidden rock and ran over it.

The mower immediately came to a Full stop and the engine died….

I impressed even myself.. folded the mower blade in half back to the spindle…

All is not lost thou ! I had a extra mower blade and the bent one I can now try and make into a knife!

I got into a yellow jackets nest when I was weed whacking after (paid) work today. My sister got into one weed whacking on the other side of the property just last weekend. So I felt like a total sh*t for brains while I was running around the yard getting popped all over my backside. I got 10 solid stings and very happy I have no allergic reactions to them. I had a Lidocaine spray in my first aid kit that really helped knock down the initial burn.

Lesson: do some recon before weed whacking places that have been sitting long enough for them to make camp. They must have made a substantial nest there in the last month or so though. I don't know if they moved or what? But I had been working in that area 2 weeks ago (not weed whacking) and didn't have a problem.

My spoon knife has seen better days… Can’t explain why but the cutting edge chipped while scooping. Some super fine sand paper and lots of patience and I managed to clean up the edge. I need to Strop it another day and get the edge nice and sharp again.
I’m just happy I was able to save the knife!
