Walmart is currently setting mods in sporting goods. Tons of cheap backpacks on clearance...

And in new merchandise, they have a knockoff of the 5.11 Rush 12, with some creative license built in. The top of the bag is identical lol...and $25 PXL_20210306_202054773.jpg

I'd really love to know why they do this.. Second time in two weeks. Springfield is an hour north, an hour.. So why it goes to Kansas next I'll never know.. Screenshot_20210317-184110.png

A educated guess would be it has to do with where the distribution facilities are. Lots of moving parts and factors go into it but.. It is cheaper and more efficient to send LARGE loads of mail/ packages to certain cities. Those cities are then able to sort and distribute to smaller facilities. SO even thou a package may pass right by your location it still needs to go to the larger facility to then be distributed to yours. Doesn’t sound like it makes a whole lot of sense but it’s about time and money. I see it all the time with packages from Amazon that pass from one big city 2 hours west of me to a city 1 hour east of me. They sometimes even go to another facility in the large city before making the hour trip back to me. Normally thou the next day.

I can understand that. Wasn't expecting an explanation, but thank you. It looks like it already left Edgerton and next stop should be here.

Yeah must've been. Because this one went from Springfield to Hollister, which I thought should've been on the other. Ah well. I'm just anxious to get this knife together.. Screenshot_20210319-070659.png

I would agree with @TerryD . I had a package a year or 2 ago that was coming from Colorado to the Gulf coast. If I remember correct It went from Colorado to Seattle to Hawaii to Guam to San Francisco to Atlanta to New Orleans to Mobile then to me..... Def a sorting error... Never a explanation or why it went all the way to Guam..

When your package arrives but the landlord is too lazy to get the mail... They said 2pm but went up there and they were gone for the day.

Sent my second oldest out yesterday to his first duty station for the Navy. He's San Diego bound.

I don't usually ask, but I'm totally accepting prayers for his safety and discipline. He's a good boy, and he's mucho missed by his momma, daddy and five siblings.

I was kind of looking forward to watching nascar race on dirt. I haven't watched nascar in probably 10 years.

Last night we went to a fish fry and rode buggies through a swamp. We all had a good time until someone's wife turned into a karen at midnight. I would have gave her an attitude adjustment in the name of equality if she wasn't our friends' sister in law.

Over the last two decades or more Nascar has invested a lot of money into making itself very boring, driving away it's fan base and now they are doing anything possible to try to get people to watch.

You know what I would watch? A race on dirt through the mountains. No car built after 1950. No tech (besides safety cages, helmets, etc) allowed that wasn't available when the moonshiners were running their cars against each other for bragging rights.

Body on steel frames and carbs and wrenches and dirt roads.

The Hurry up and wait on buying a farm is brutal...

I’ve been told the whole real estate / mortgage industry is running on pandemic speed...

We are just thankful at the moment we found something to buy.. There is ZERO inventory where we want to live. Houses in the city are currently selling way above listing price and sight unseen. In a matter of hours and normally within the day...
