Weed eater hasn’t been running well.

Tried a few things and have messed with it a bunch.

Was about to soak the carb In cleaner and maybe mess with the adjustment screws. Before I did I found a replacement kit with brand new carb, spark plug, air filter, gaskets, primer, fuel lines, and fuel filter for only $15.

Put the new one on tonight, it started cold with one pull, and immediately was able to spool up to full throttle.

Gonna buy the same kit for the blower also.

Heck, 4 years old, and $15 brings it back to almost new? I’ll do that every few years.

I wish I was that lucky with my weed eater... Would take a pull or 2 to start and replaced the spark plug and filter every year. That worked great until mid one summer it sounded funny for a couple of minutes and then the spark plug shot off the back of the motor... Don’t know if I cross threaded it one to many times or what BUT needless to say I now run a electric weed eater..

My largest struggle is keeping the gas clean.

It takes me a while to run through a gallon of mix gas, and I usually end up running some that has some condensate in it, which these little engines can’t handle.

For the mower I don’t even buy a full gallon at a time so I can keep getting fresh.

I was having similar problems... My backyard currently is about 10x20 and over half of it is patio.. It only takes me about 5-10 minutes to weed eat at its tallest and couldn’t justify or really fit a lawn mower.. I’m thinking that they just both went bad with lack of use and bad gas.. I actually ended up giving the mower to my neighbors who have 2x the backyard I do. Atleast they have room to turn the mower ..

My lawnmower just messed up for the second time. Its less than 3 years old. Its a Toro with the Personal Pace feature. The faster you walk the more the handbar goes in and the self-propelled wheels move faster. It snapped a belt the first season I had it. My dad replaced it with a more heavy duty belt but said that its a design flaw and it will wear out sooner than later. Unless you are running at full speed it creates uneven wear on the belt. When it breaks its impossible to push, the reader wheels are locked in gear...Both breaks were when i was only halfway through the backyard....The first time I finished the lawn by picking up the rear wheels slightly and pushing it on the front wheels...It was a pain. Last week I used steel cable to tie down the bail lever so it would run without holding it down then had to grab the handle bars down on the side to push it.... I'm going to disable the transmission and make it push power only

Ok. If we're bitching about mowers:

    1. Shindaiwa weed whacker. Only 10 years old. Still looking for carb. May have to replace the unit at just under $400.

    2. New carb on Craftsman lawn tractor. Meh. But then the ignition switch went out.

    3. Busted a pylon on my finish mower. Order the parts, wait a week or so. Another hundred bucks.

My yard is just under 3 acres.

    Tractor parts? Holy crap.

It doesn’t matter how old you are. Homemade mom food is the best.

I bought a Honda 21”, the model just under the commercial line.

It is tough, even though the deck is made of a poly material instead of steel.

Any where you are looking in particular. Are you a city dweller or a country person?
