    @OKcherokee
Take a look at the local Lowe’s or home depot in the “specialty” section of the bolts. I had luck finding “furniture bolts” hat worked only difference is they were a Philips head vs the original Allen head.
I recommend taking a bolt you already have and one of the nuts it goes into to make sure the thread and nuts match.

No luck at Lowe’s, but Ace Hardware had some that worked just fine.

Not an exact match, but they are the same thread and found the length I needed.

Really dumb question here. But has anyone used these for batoning? The motel is replacing these with metal railings so I'm thinking I may cut a few out. 20190519_162122.jpg

Earthquake here early this week , felt all the way into the Interior of B.C. and over in Victoria (on the Island)

Big enough to knock the entire side of JOFFRE PEAK off . (Joffre is near Pemberton) . Big enough to cause a second mountain side to fall off.

    https://www.google.ca/amp/s/vancouv...-north-face-of-joffre-peak-near-pemberton/amp

That peak is HUGE. I mean HUGE.

Quote”According to BC Parks, the first landslide occurred at 7:40 a.m. Monday, when part of the north face of the peak sloughed off with enough force to send a 500 to 850 metre-wide rush of debris roughly 5.2 kilometers down Cerise Creek”

    The resulting debris slide.

I had planned to go clear the old engineers trail below The Barrier this weekend.................,...

Sure as hell glad I didn’t..............it’s nearby in proximity to Joffre.

Joffre Peak is mostly solid granite. The Barrier is basalt lava (brittle) . If that earthquake could shear off half a granite mountain.........I ain’t going anywhere near The Barrier

Sat view (Google). MASSIVE mountain (Joffre Peak)

    Opera Snapshot_2019-05-19_214317_www.google.com.png

photos are just pouring in from Geologists, avalanche assessment techs, BC Transportation, BC Parks, and pilots .

Storm Chasers aint got nothing on mountains falling down chasers.........

I gotta get close ups of this massive slide. I thought i was addicted to danger at The Barrier.......(still am actually, big time)

going to cash out my vacation pay and buy a Nikon or Canon DSLR and lenses.

I gotta get up there and get on the ground.

Got the tin whistle in yesterday. While it is going to be the perfect size for a campfire instrument I am going to have to find a larger sized one.. I was attempting a very basic lesson today and realized that my fingers when side by side are to big for the hole spacing... I tried using my finger tips instead of the wider finger palm sized like you are supposed to and it just doesn’t work....

It funny you say that because I would have a easier time finding stuff for one. I believe it’s called a ocarina And there is far more info out there then on my flute.

when i assembled my niece's crib years ago i taped the extra nuts and bolts underneath. i did the same including the specialty driver bit when i assembled her dollhouse, etc. that way i won't need to use an axe or saw to tear it down when she outgrows them and time to throw it out.

that's probably made of soft wood. go for a hike and just saw off a piece of oak or maple...or worst case buy a kid size wood baseball bat...or a plastic-faced mallet.
