Check the bolts torque before getting any work done. Not uncommon for engine bolts to back off over time. Find the torque specs and pre-set them into the torque wrench (you can rent! ) and see if any are out of spec

Had a small earthquake today that I actually felt.

4.4 is what they are saying.

    good stuff.....

i suspect the valve cover gasket is old and shrunken, and its leaking a wee bit of oil.........

but check intake (and cylinder head bolts) for torque spec and slap a new rubber gasket onto the valve cover and re-install it.

Degrease the engien and drive for a bit....

intake manifolds don't leak oil............they leak FUEL if they leak......

    just saying....

your pic showed oil. ;) eliminate the easy to diagnose stuff first and then go from there.

Tornado sirens went off about an hour ago.

Area of concern was a few miles south.

    Just heavy rain currently.

I hope it's over for ya. We're under a tornado watch until 5. I haven't looked at the radar yet so not sure what we're up against.

Green polygon is a flood warning.

Orange polygon is severe thunderstorm warning.

Red polygon means go hide in the fraidy hole.

I think it will go south of you.

It went south of me by about 3 miles.

We're getting the rain and wind right now. Nothing serious though. Hopefully you're right too

never even seen a tornado (except on TV/internet). Just the odd small dust devil in the drier regions of BC.

Stay safe everyone affected. Supply Up!

I’ve been in ‘tornado alley’ my whole life.

    I’ve also never seen one.

It can stay what way also as far as I’m concerned.

I've seen a funnel cloud starting to appear once when I was a kid, but other than that nope. Although the tornado that ripped Joplin apart years ago was headed straight for us. Luckily there was a tornado shelter on the property and it weakened before it got to us.

I know when we assembled our kids crib a few years back I kept all the extra bolts needed to concert it to a toddler bed.

I just don’t know where they are.

    Crap.
