Damn.... ..ANOTHER 150 mm of rain today........this is brutal.....
Not gonna lie. I just had to Google a mm to inches conversion chart . That's a lotta rain. Is that typical for you? Especially this time of year?
yes and no......there is a major storm system moving thru......but from about oct thru may its rain rain rain rain.
all the local creeks and rivers are blown out, there is flooding in low lying areas and lots of underground parking and basements flooding because the storm drains are all full or overflowing.
and while it rains down here........up in the mountains , esp the Highway Thru Hell area, it will be dumping 3 - 10' of snow.
Pulled this solid brass pendant out of an Ferric Chloride acid etch (2 week soak) and dried it off and buffed it. Set it on the desk and about 24 hours later it started BLEEDING.....WTF?
Any other pics?
What's it taste like?
nope, not yet.
any idea why it would exude like that??????
3 days of torrential rain, creeks and rivers blown out, massive carbo loading all week, rain finally let off today! left a mud slide in its wake near Rambo Town (Hope BC) on the Provincial Hwy.
finally get to go outside and into the woods for a bit. Shelter contest here I come!
digging thru some old gear tonight.......find the ex-gf's unused Zippo handwarmer.
score for me
I love zippo hand warmers, I put one in each chest pocket under a jacket on cold days. The jacket helps starve them for air and holds the heat in. I have had them burn for over 24 hours like that, because of the way it slows the burn.
I forgot to tell yall about my close call last weekend. I was splitting firewood and my axe got stuck. I have been using a Fiskars splitting axe the last couple of years. I held the log down with my left hand and went to free the axe with my right. Because of the wedge shape of the axe head, it sprang up out of the log when it came free and came back down on my left thumb. It didn't cut through my glove but it hurt pretty good and scraped the hide off in two little spots.
Same thing happened to me years ago. Axe popped out and rolled right over my thumb. Scared the **** outta me. Didn't hurt me either. Glad to hear you got it easy as well!
More torrential rain. Bleh
