last September we spent the Month in Colorado. Stayed through the first week of October for Elkfest in Estes Park. Another excuse to eat and drink in some great places. Started from the home base in east TN. Visited Son and Family/Grandkids in WI. Beer, cheese and brats. Linenkugal Brewery and a couple State Parks around Chippewa Falls. Crossed the States on Interstate 90 which is a joy to drive. Highway is in great shape. School was back in session..not a lot of travelers. Dropped down through the Sandhills of NB to Fort Collins. Stayed at Cheyenne Mountain SP. The big bomb proof place. Destination Durango. Stayed there a few days. Nice CG. Aspens yellowing. Took the narrow gauge train to Silverton and back. Very cool trip. Mesa Verde for a couple days stayed at the NPCG. Beautiful area. Drove the Highway 550 Million Dollar Hwy all the way to Ouray. Stops Between. Spent the night on Molas Pass. Snowed. Killer hikes. Ouray is billed as the Switzerland of CO. Drove over to Telluride Spent the day watching Brews and Blues Festival being setup. Did a 4x4 tour around Ouray. That area rocks!! Continuing north, Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Wow!! Colors are outstanding. On to Granby, Grand Lake, great NFS CG. Stayed that area 3 days. Crossed the pass to RMNP a day Earl due to snow. Stayed in Estes Park for a week. A couple Fall Fests going on. Elk take over the town. Beer, music, hikes. Five weeks are burned and it's back for Fall in TN.
Now thats living! amazing pics. Very similar to our Lytton and Lilloet areas. But with way cooler 4x4's
