I can drink coffee just about anyway except black. But at the moment it's good ole Walmart coffee. For the price it isn't bad but if I had the budget for and if my body could handle it again it would be Death Wish Coffee. It's smooth but strong. I use a tad bit of the liquid international delight Hazelnut or Irish cream just to add a hint of flavor also. And my favorite kind is peppermint mocha.
I have an espresso machine. I drink latte in the morning and espresso in the afternoon. I get beans from a local roaster. I used to make Cuban coffee. I also make Turkish when outdoors. I learned from a Bedouin how to make it over a fire at Petra. Coffee is a good social tool. I make cappuccinos for my kids and others when they visit.
1/3 Trader Joe’s Sumatran + 1/3 TJ’s Columbian (beans ground fresh) + 1/3 Cafe du Monde (for the Chicory); filtered water; drip maker. Drink black from a local potter’s mug.
I prefer the french press option, but sometimes the convenience and easy clean up with instant wins out.
I've been playing with Cuban coffee on the weekends. This YouTube video has been my source. A 12 cup Bialetti makes like one good American size cup. You can whip the sugar by hand, or if you're lazy (that's efficient) you can use a whisk attachment on an immersion blender to achieve wonderful sugary goodness.
Hey chemex was manufactured in Chicopee MA not to far from me never knew that. Maybe one day I’ll actually like coffee. only thing I like is chocolate covered expresso beans.
Tip for young players..... don't eat a whole bag of those chocolate coated beans at 11pm and expect to sleep that night ....I ummmmm "know" someone who did that...
