Been in the woods a lot lately working on various projects. Repair two holes in my all-weather space blanket, punch some extra holes in my two hobo stoves for extra ventilation, build a table, and cook a sausage wrapped in bacon.

Scenery was nice after a lot of rain lately.

Assessing the hobo stoves as quite a bit of rust has accumulated. I poked holes on the bottom and a few around the middle.

A way I carry duct tape is wrapped around a straw, with two nails stored inside.

Very circus ready mallet to ring that bell!
Only conifer trees have straight-out “off the trunk” branches. Hemlock and Spruce mostly.

Maple mallet has the natural curve, but works surprisingly well, more leverage , and the other side fares well when hammering stakes deep in snow.

Keeping it all warm while I play!

Couple questions for you: What do you use the nails for? Is that plastic bag material for cordage? What do you use the duct tape for?

I have duct tape in my med kit for just in case but i assume you have a purpose beyond that.

No problem. Bad cuts mostly and also pack/tarp repairs.
Nails make simple easy pot holders (called Hake) and pack hangers.
    Plastic cordage from Philippines.

Im looking for a low cost cordage after i spent 10$ worth of paracord making two chairs. Then again i use horrible knots that suck. :)

What your source for that? Does it stretch a lot?

Paracord is bulky, expensive, gets heaver when wet, some knits slip too much with it. This is pretty strong, but frays.
Bankline may be a "not so happy" medium.
It sticks too much for some knots and gets gummy in the heat.

@bearthedog is the cordage like the plastic stuff you get at the home improvements stores they give you to tie down stuff?

Here it is with other cordage you may recognize.
I got it at ACE Hardware in Philippines.

agree! i don't even have a single drop of alcohol when i'm riding...it's very dangerous enough as it is...that's why i leave the bike when hanging with rb...he rolls with groupies stacked too many to count...and well...a different kind of riding happens...whoops, i've said too much.

    Thanks for the kind words.
Duct tape works well for those stiffer tarps.
