Hi All, I have a 17-yo cousin in central VA who I think would really be into a multi-day wilderness survival course on fundamental techniques. I'm thinking shelter, fire, maybe some tracking. No military/politics/religion. Mostly outdoor survival basics and respect for the land. He's already a country kid, and I happen to know he'll be getting a survival knife for his 18th birthday. (we made it together) He can drive, but distance is a concern. Can you recommend an outfit in central VA that would be appropriate? I've found "Mountain Shepherd" and "Advanced Survival Training". Any in-person reviews or experience? Thanks!
