Waiting to see this shovel show up in a trip report being used and abused
Did some testing on my first prototype. It has pluses and minuses. A lot of minuses . That's ok. Learn from what does not work.
Can it be attached to an AR-15, though?
Don't tempt us to add a lug mount!
Tempt! Tempt! Tempt!
gonna need more than an AR-15 platform to launch a freaking shovel!
I mean if a chainsaw bayonet can find its way onto an AR, why can't the shovel?
Sandblasting and welding is happening to one of the prototypes tomorrow. Should have pics up over the weekend! Then it's time to profile the shovel head and heat treat it!!!
I honestly think our original design (the one @Se7eN is welding up) is the best one yet. I did a flat bladed shovel, that actually dug pretty good, chopped excellent, made a great soil/sand/snow anchor BUT during digging did not remove as much soil/sand as the slightly scooped version.
Prototype was sand blasted and bent into shape.
Edges were sharpened with grinder. Ready for file work, the welding and handle installation.
This is going to be badass.
YEA BUDDY! didn't know you had a sand blaster! that looks wicked once all that rust was blasted off......
Once I get the welding done, I'm going to do the heat treat and send it to you for testing.
gonna hurt it Bro....like a red headed step child....LMAO
That's looking awesome!!!
I like testing
Looking good. I forgot this thread even existed. Just happened to run across it again.
the hell you did.....hahahahhaa
