Really good. The crust is crispy and the body of the bread is springy and very flavorful.

Flour is about 2-3$ for a 5 pound bag. I use about that a week.

Tried a longer rise cycle and it was too long. Had a balloon dough on one. Should eat ok i assume. Sour dough aint easy.

They make triangles? Im trying to get "ears" on the bread. Went to a single slash and that seems to work a bit better but theres something missing to get a good ear.

    Here and there...
I love me some bread :) I like to get the Large italian bread loaves they sell out most stores. I then make garlic bread out of the whole loaf with a secret garlic salt ( part of it includes dumping have the garlic salt container in to another container and then adding the other half the container with granulated garlic) I have had good experiences cooking about any type of food esp if I have a recipe.

BUT I cannot bake to save my life... We are talking burning or absolutely flat cookies that come from a pre made roll of cookie dough...

I tried a bread machine a couple of times and it was a complete bust..

I would love to learn a simple over campfire “bread”. Even if it was making something simple like a pita/ flat bread type of bread..

Italian bread is easy to make and im no baker either. Measuring the ingredients and having patience is hard.

@R Stowe should have a recipe if i remember correctly.
