I had the pleasure of helping Boy Scout Troop 476 meet the majority of their Wilderness Survival Merit Badge requirements this past weekend. Had a blast and met some good young men.

We covered a lot of stuff that wasn't required as well. This young man to my immediate right, his bucket was finally full!

IMG_1227.JPG It was like herding 25 cats, my hat is off to anyone who is a scout leader in today's world. They all loved making atlatls!

They did great. We were at the archery range and several of the kids were nailing the hay bails.

This is awesome. I love seeing kids learn outdoor skills. Especially when it seems a challenge to get kids to even go outside anymore. My boys are currently in cub scouts. I would love to see something like this available around here.
