I have two Rivendell touring bikes, an Atlantis and a Rambouillet.
Just the opposite here, I didn't like the guys at the Specialized shop.
I have now put a set of 2" riser handle bars and a different seat as the stock seat hurt my ass after about 5 miles.
I have a Raleigh Roper I like to get around on and pull Madden on his Weehoo. If any of you have kids up to 70 lbs and want to be able to ride with them for more than an hour the Weehoo is awesome.
Forgot to post pics from my ride, this past weekend. Had perfect weather for riding around in the woods.
New Danny MacAskill video.
So I did a thing today..
Realized I didn't say what it is. That's a 2016 Stumpjumper FSR 6Fattie. 27.5" fat-ish tires. Perfect mix for me. I told them I wanted a bike that could handle anything and everything I could want to do and the guys at 3 different shops told me that's the most versatile bike I could buy for the money. It was originally $3500 and I got it for $3000 all in with free maintenance and tune-ups for as long as I own the bike.
That looks sick. Always liked the Stumpjumpers. Next bike I get is going to be a full suspension of some kind.
Is that moto orange? @ManOfSteel
Did I do good? You're the expert on this subject in my book lol
Idk what they actually call the color but I really really like it and that the only branding is underneath the frame and the S on the neck. It's orange but most people won't know what it is unless they see me on a manual or ask.
Other than the fact that it says specialized I think you did great!
Oh NO you didnt! Haha
That's a beauty. Now get out and ride
Thank you, sir. I had it out for a mile or so yesterday just to see what it felt like again since I haven't been on a bike (without a motor) in years. I got home from work today and took it for a ride in town (not a flat town) which was about 3-4 miles round trip. I know I'm starting slow but I'm out of shape and need to be able to walk and climb for work so I'm attempting to tap into some muscle memory and rebuild my stamina. This weekend I'm gonna start riding it to the gym, about 5 miles round trip and I'm getting back in with a couple powerlifters I know so I'll get strong on it fast I hope.
My girl is hopefully picking up her new Giant Tempt 4 tomorrow.
Girlfriend's Tempt is gonna be done and picked up on Friday. I'm going trail riding with my buddy on Saturday afternoon. I forgot what a blast it is on a bike and forgot that I was awesome at riding wheelies on them lol. Pulled the wheel up right before my driveway and put it down in the garage and my girl's jaw about hit the ground . Been a long time but it came back like.. riding a bike I guess.
