    You're welcomed Slade.
I had the good fortune to meet Paul at a custom frame builders show several years ago.
He's a great guy and one of best builders that hail from Nor-Cal the birthplace of mountain biking.
Paul's bikes especially his CX frames are highly sought after by pro racers.

Agreed! His tandems are epic machines!
Scot Nichol and Ibis, built my first custom MTB frame back in 1990.

Man. I was so close to buying a Fatboy today. Seeing this pic along with the one of the Crosstrail makes me wish I would of. What size frame is yours? I test rode an XL and it felt smaller than I expected. Felt good, but didn't feel as big as my XL Crosstrail.

With my cross country move last year I pared down my six bikes to one. A Felt B12, I love it, wish I had more time and energy to ride!

My previous bike was a Felt. Forget the model name but it was what is now the Compulsion. The only difference I see between the two is the Compulsion seems to have a more slack headtube angle. Mine had a 72° headtube angle which is good for cross country riding. Not all mountain. Its only flaw. The Equal Link suspension on that bike was unlike any other I had before. That suspension would lockout so good on climbs that I was up shifting while climbing hills.

But with fat tires, speed is not the point. It's all about flotation.

Tomorrow, I will join you two in the Crosstrail/Fatboy owners club. I put a deposit down on a 2016 Fatboy this morning.

Not my pic, but this is the one.

Thanks! I'm looking forward to hitting some trails this weekend and I'm definitely looking forward to riding it on snow.

What would be the advantage of a fatboy bike over a normal tire sized one? Looking to pick up a bike for occasional trail riding.

I love the look of the fat bikes but they are way to proud of them.

The main advantages of a fat tire bike will be increased traction, especially in wet/icy conditions, and "flotation" over sand and snow. Being in Michigan, we have plenty of all that, so fat tire bikes have always been appealing to me.

I've always hated not riding in the winter, but now I can!
