Use a broom handle... Notches are definitely a weak area for me....knots too... I'm gonna see what I can come up with. Never tried a try stick before... And as I have stated in the try stick thread, I prefer to call it the "Do-or-Do-Not Stick " because there is no try
The last one I did took way longer that 10 minutes...and it was uuugggglly! . I'm going to see what kind of stick I can round up though.
My entry turned into its own thread. http://eseeknives.com/forums/index.php?threads/day-trip-for-the-april-challenge.6903/
All of these entries and I haven’t seen a Mora. Fixed! Got the hole on this one. This was tough but I got it done in about 5 minutes. This stick is a little short and had to leave out some notches. Got all the ones I struggle with though. Dilly Dilly!
Older pic but this was carved using only the Junglas. I wanted to demonstrate the versatility of this knife!
Sure thing. It's my old MP knives Drifter Seax. Great little blade, and often regret having let it go. Roughly 6mm thick hand forged carbon (5160, I think), full flat grind with a convex, black paper micarta scales with hammered stainless pins. Sheath at the bottom is my own work.
