Just wanted to share some pictures from a two week road trip my wife and I took at the end of August. Drove from Wisconsin up through Ontario and Quebec to Prince Edward Island. Checked out the awesome scenery and Anne of Green Gables sites. Then headed to Acadia for some great hiking. After that it was off to Boston for a few days to check out the historic sites and then Niagara Falls on the way home. Here are a couple pictures worth sharing.... Canada/Prince Edward Island Acadia National Park Niagara Falls
Some beautiful pics there mate !! I stayed in a hotel just behind where your Niagara falls pics are taken from (based on the view I had out my window).
The pictures don't really do it justice. It was SO MUCH better in person. And the fresh seafood and hot blueberry pies were AMAZING! The only downside was that it is very hard to find a parking spot in Acadia depending on which area of the park and time of day you go. Would definitely recommend stopping at Prince Edward Island if you are headed to Acadia as it only adds a couple extra days onto your trip and is worth it in my opinion.
That was by far my favorite hike of the park. There are a couple trails that take you vertical up the face of the mountain. This was one of the reason's I really wanted to go to Acadia as we don't have trails like this in Wisconsin. Wish we would have gotten more/better pictures along the way but I am still working on the heights thing... Sort of hugged the inside of the trail and didn't stop much though the sheer cliffs parts... For reference here is the side of the mountain that one of the trails took us up... And a few more pictures of the iron rungs along the way...
