    Seriously, cool pics.

We were talking the other day about what kind of dangerous creatures we will have to import just so I don’t feel like less of a man when you come over to the house.

You get a couple of Yowies roaming around the woods there and you will be more than toughened up, especially during their mating season :D

It was a great couple of days away and only only made us both realise we needed to do it more !!

Had to look up Yowie. Big foot would have been the word you were searching for. We can help you with your english.

No no no....."Bigfoot" is of course the quite benign furry bipodal critter you allegedly have there. A Yowie is a large angry critter that is know to rip humans limb from limb for fun. Like everything the Australian version is quite a bit more dangerous.

I could have said that DJ needs to release a breeding pair of Drop Bears ( https://www.australiangeographic.com.au/news/2021/04/drop-bears-target-tourists-study-says/ )but I don't hate you all THAT much...

And a detail you can't see well in the version above...

.....the arrow indicates the mob of Kangaroos that are just laying back there warming up in the sun.....to make this truly Australian... ;)

A Master Angler at work ...

    One more of the woodpile....

....the folding griddle was a high school welding project by the Godson. He is far more skilled than me !!! My best high school project was a lathe turned wooden baton...... no real surprise in that now I guess.

I love that river and the fact that it is accessible by 4x4, so you can set up a real camp.

I said I had some pics from the last visit there, only took a couple of pics as I was a bit more frugal with 35mm in the day than digital now, here is one......

......night before this a massive storm rolled over and everything was being lit up by the lightening as rain bucketed down....!!! That is a 1989 75 Series Landcruiser. Honestly there are parts on that truck that would happily fit mine now as the 70 Series Toyotas have been in continuous production since 1985 !!! Still not sure about the Powder Blue Bull bar and side rails....but it was the 80s I guess and pastel colours were popular (I am simply fishing for a bite now... ;) ) .... :D

Out of interest I the OD green canvas you see hanging out of the left rear of the tray is my old swag (Google this if the term is unfamiliar to you) in that pic it was less than a year old. You can see it laying on top of my stretcher in the pics of the most recent trip. The mate (with the teenage girl's playlist) also had his there I think and definitely on this recent trip (as three of us bought them at the same time from the business I managed).

They are actually coloured from the tintype plates we used back then.
