I've never been a big fan of open carrying guns. I'm not opposed to the legality of it, I just think you give up a certain advantage by letting people know what you've got.

But, a Randall Bowie or a Samurai sword? I'm all for sporting that mug out in the open. I'd love to see this catch on everywhere.

While we're at it, bring back sword dueling. You know, sometimes a lady's honor just needs defending....

Delaware law allowed swords back in the early 90's -- their law limited "knife" blade length, but didn't say anything about any other cutting implement.
bunch of us dressed up for the Halloween bar crawl wearing swords one year -- had a blast.

You want to hit the 7-11 for brewskis with a hand n a half on your back? I'm down. The idea is now you don't have to guess who is armed. You can be in the bank ( grocery store, mini mall ect ect) and there might be half a dozen guns in sight...and half a dozen more not. Put yourself in "tango mind state" , you want to try and jack the joint? Nah I didn't think so....

Good for Texas, but as usual, they get a lot of attention for allowing things that have been legal in other states for a long time.

Not that I'm complaining, let them soak up the publicity and media headlines.

In high school some friends and I did the rounds of a few Halloween parties as the Three Musketeers. Most of our swords and daggers were real, save for the one friend who didn't do well with sharp objects.

What? The law says you can't carry in a correctional institution. I'd say that's pretty restrictive.

Right? I mean, how are you supposed to "correct" things otherwise?
