so I am looking for a new tent to get the misses and the midget out in the woods. She doesn’t have any interest in sleeping under a tarp or hang separately in a hammock. It needs to be light enough for backpacking because unless there is a destination she has no interest in camping. I will need to be able carry it so the lighter the better. Not really particullar about brand or maker and I’m looking to stay under $300 or $400 dollars otherwise I’ll just buy her a camper. Thanks in adavnce.
Also check out the Big Agnes "Seedhouse SL3" - pretty light for a 3-person tent (just over 4 lbs) and you can find them on sale now for sub $300. Pretty good balance of weight, price and quality.
