Managed to get out with the nephews quite a few times this year, once with my niece along too.

    Doesn't get better than this.

I love it! Nothing like cutting into a group of about 30 mini missiles! Had some mallards And Pintails pitch the decoys early! Made me itch for real duck season

Your lucky, around me it pretty much green heads. I would love to shoot a nice pintail. I've been to the Dakotas twice and never got a mature drake.
Something about shooting honkers though. I love it.

I've killed one banded female pintail, she was 12yrs old. Dad always waxed the drake before I'd get a shot.

We had a load of pintail and canvas back last season. Some mallards and some greater scaup. It's fun killing a mixed bag. I grew up on AR where "it ain't a duck if it ain't got a greenhead" I never subscribed to that...I will say that I do have an affinity for an old school green timber hunt tho.

Can't wait for you to get down here period!

I met some guys from Jonesboro this spring that subscribe to that green head philosophy. He couldn't believe we kill the ducks we do to fill a limit. I told him cause they kill'em all before they get here.

I wish I could hunt the mountain/pacific flyway. Got a few you've killed the last year or so we don't see often here.

20160917_080056.jpg Hunted alone this morning...finished out in just over 15 mins. Wonderful hunt. I was able to be extremely selective on which shots I wanted to take. I did have one however slip behind my Mojo as I was breaking the shot....oops lol!

Haven't gotten to do much fishing this year. Work is finally busy as hell for me so I won't complain! The first pic is from this morning. Small bass is better than no bass. My uncle was happy with his fluke haul that day. I got skunked but we ate good regardless! (Don't mind the crocs lol)
