The ferro rod isnt inside the knife handle. Secondly, aluminum can absolutely handle hammering in a tent peg without suffering.
The quality of construction of your sheaths is likely only surpassed by their aesthetics. The knife isnt so bad, either.

The problem with voctorinox tools (and knives), is the lack of a lack of a pocket clip. Makes edc burdensome.
