thats the biggest damn cam (2nd pic) i've ever seen.......nice placement too. Looks like she is upside down and clipped directly into the camming device. For an entire summer in Squamish BC in my late 20's I used nothing but micro slivers wedges and little steel wedges , climbing 1/8" cracks 100+ feet up on one of the less climbed routes. Insert, tap tap, test yank and clip in. My entire climbing rack was micro oval biners, 1/2" webbing draws, and about 250 micro wedges (RURP'S!) I burned so many calories I was down to 98Lbs. Would eat close to 10,000 - 12,000 calories a day and barely kept my weight up. good times.
Is that anchor point actually that large? cuz most of them are only 3" long at MOST you could anchor a battleship from that thing
I free-soloed 5 times, on a angled granite slope, plenty of handholds/footholds, and about 120' up. You could not fall off if you tried, there was so many deep handholds and foot placements available, it was like climbing the stairs. A bunch of us rock jocks and wall rats made a game of it....speed climbing. 2 free climbers, sprint to the top. Winner goes to next round, loser chips in $10 to the end of the day beer and BBQ fund. It was Epic.
Watch out for those horizontal wood chippers that can pull you in. As time ... goes ... by ... https://thewest.com.au/news/australia/man-dies-in-woodchipper-accident-bc-5644039264001
