Lodge Cast Iron pan seared green beans, red potatoes, onions, 1/2 lb of whole local garlic cloves + spices and salt
Breakfast today (at 1530 hours....LOL) oven roasted fennel sausages, curried chick peas, potatoes, onions, garlic with finely shredded pan fried ham, spices/salt, 2 Omega3 boosted eggs cooked in real buuter and 16 grain toast.
16 grain toast!? I don’t even like 1 grain. I like the white fake stuff that sticks to the roof of your mouth like bread is supposed to
fiber dude....lots of fiber. And minerals, vitamins, and a great flavor and slow metabolic release . Doesn't bung up your bung and leach minerals and nutrients from your body like white bread or processed whole wheat flour does. White bread has literally been stripped of everything nutritious, and then had stuff chemically added back in. Even whole wheat flours (while better for you) are not as good as whole grain sprouted breads. the bread i buy is made from sprouted grains, it is not processed by grinding into flour, so it breaks down in the body a lot slower, resulting in a slower metabolic brake. And the flavor is amazing. Nutty, crunchy, the bread is a meal in itself.
I have not tried this recipe yet, but I certainly will. Maybe this weekend in deer camp. I'm thinking on top of the butter, I'd sprinkle a little brown sugar and nutmeg for that extra goodness.
im thinking a LOT of brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. emphasis on LOTS of brown sugar, topped with honey
