A newly registered member here. My name is Wally, a neophyte in camping but not new to shooting and archery. I also enjoy other activities like off-road driving and fishing. I'm actually happy that I can afford a few pleasant things in life on my own now so that's why I'm investing little by little in gears and equipment that I can use for camping and trail hiking.
New member from NY. My life in the woods is not only a passion, but also a punishing challange. Several day hikes as a minimalist, little food and inclimate weather. Its as far from reality as it gets, but it is also the most rewarding. And then back to work. Proud owner of a Junglas 2. I can't seem to get away from those large survival/forest knives.
Hey all, my name's Kyle! I just signed up last night and figured it'd be good to at least get my name out there. I'm a full-time geology major at the University of Pittsburgh, but when I'm not out here I call the woods of Northeast PA my home. I'm into hiking, camping, backpacking, bushcrafting, shooting, and I'm starting to get into fly fishing. I also like to think of myself as a photographer (despite not being particularly good). I got into ESEE and knives in general as my interest in the outdoors grew and I realized that cheap pocket knives weren't gonna cut it anymore, literally and figuratively! Outside of outdoors stuff, I'm a big fan of Tolkien's books as well as some older sci-fi novels and other fantasy books. I'm a big music nerd, and if not in the woods I'm probably playing drums or listening to music, anything from Tom Petty to Megadeth. That's about it, can't wait to get to know you folks!
You should have a fulfilling experience here. Good place to start for background music while you review the threads: http://www.eseeknives.com/forums/in...-hymnody-music-thread-for-your-head.63/page-7
