found the second cabin, though I think its occupied year round. Going to take a drive up there and hike that shoreline. Thats the lake below the little cabin i go too. https://www.google.com/maps/@49.9710806,-123.1700188,339m/data=!3m1!1e3
I saw something very similar while doing satellite map recon of a forest I was planning to hunt so I did a bit of research, yep it's just a plane flying during image capture, apparently it happens a lot, plenty that are in people's backyards etc
It doesn't seem to be THAT low either, or you'd see the plane shadow somewhere on the tree tops. The shadow should fall somewhere between 9/9:30, based on shadow from the trees.
Yea....I have a crappy monitor......it showed up super clear on the new monitor. Also I thought it might be a map symbol for a crash site......
Here's a link to a crash site in a remote part of Newfoundland that is quite well preserved, crash was in 1946 and the wreck is still there, 27 people killed and were buried on site. One of the first uses of helicopters in civil aviation rescue. https://goo.gl/maps/iyXAoAtiFXt It's an interesting story: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/newfoundland-labrador/sabena-plane-crash-70-anniversary-1.3765944 http://www.hiddennewfoundland.ca/sabena-airliner-crash
@McKROB great article. Never heard of that rescue. I will have to add this to my to-be-read list. https://www.amazon.com/Charlie-Baker-George-Story-SABENA/dp/1894377168
