Niiccceeee... Do you always prefer lump charcoal over briquettes or does it depend upon what your doing?
Lump charcoal. 95% of the time. Cooks even and you can reuse it. I just sift it through the chimney starter. Ash falls to the bottom and usable charcoal stays in the starter. That said, I use briquettes occasionally, it works fine.
really hating the wooden APT building living right now.......oh great investment, but no damn smokers or BBQ's or grills allowed due to fire risk.....(good thing) need me some damn charcoal grilling soon!
lump for me for grilling and smoking (when i use my pit smoker and grill camping - not allowed at the apt building). But for cast iron dutch oven cooking, briquettes all the way.
Omahasteaks.com has a pretty sweet Father's Day deal going on. Type in Eric in the search bar and it'll pop up. $49 bucks for a pretty good amount of meat plus some other stuff. Shipping is kind of pricey though.
Steak on a stone works pretty well while camping. Getting the stone hot enough is the only challenge.
Brussel sprouts can be grilled? I just learned something. I sorta grilled ribs today; put them in the crockpot while I was at work, then threw them on the grill for a bit over an hour when I got home with some bbq sauce brushed on. Lots of mesquite smoke. Left them on just long enough to make the sauce start to caramelize. I should've taken pics. Sorry, y'all...
I didn't catch a picture while it was on the grill but Sunday I did a whole chicken, some pork chops, zucchini, asparagus and corn on the cob.
