Etched, stripped, hand sanded (to 2000 grit) in the heat of a Florida summer (similar to the fire of Mordor). Spalted Tamarind with red fiber liners, brass Corby bolts, slightly more robust/ thicker/ huskier than the TKS compact scales. Not perfect, there is a tiny amount of lift of the liner at the choil and the scales aren't lined up 100%- probably 1/64th off dead level at the front. But it is all hand done with hand tools in my limited spare time. It is a very nice knife, no doubt about it, but I enjoy the project more than the end result, so it is on to the next project, so this one needs to go to fund that one. No sheath, I apologize, but I have no time or source of leather here, so you are going to have to figure that out on your own. Maybe @Wildbill247365 or @Colton (red nose leatherworks) or @SEMO will hook you up. $sold shipped OBO. I might be interested in a swap for your HM4 or HM6 You can see what I mentioned here on the choil, not a big deal, but I thought I'd mention it:
That is just nice all the way around. Normally I scoff at the prices people ask for for "customization" that they have done..... This one looks great, smooth, nice deep etching and amazing handles and what a fair price! Let me know if it does not sell and you want me to put together an ax for you for it
Thanks for the kind words! I hesitated on the price- I usually have the same reaction, but the nature of customization is that it is to your taste, I am not sure if others have the same taste as I do... its nice to know I wasn't too far off on price and the work apeals to someone other than myself.
WOW absolutely love this and think that the price is beyond fair given the beautiful workmanship! Dang I wish I hadn't spread my "lunch monies" so thin as you were beyond a great uncle to deal with as well! I'm sure this is going to go quick as it should so will have to catch the next Beauty that you post on here for sale until then goodluck on the sale even though you won't need it this 4 couldn't be any sweeter and @mmbackpacker is beyond a great one eh!
If some one buys this or trades for it I will hook them up with a sheath for just the shipping cost to ship it to you. I will need the knife first to do the sheath so it will have the proper fit. Then I will ship them both to you.
That is super awesome of you @Wildbill247365 ! I can think of no proper words to express my gratitude!
That beautiful blade needs a good home and I will do my best to make a sheath worthy of it. They just need to let me know what kind of sheath they want.
