    I've been calling it the coconut knife since that's what I see people in latin america doing with this kind of knife--lopping coconuts open so you can drink them.

    I didnt come up with the name and I still find it hard to say. I spent the whole first day at Blade correcting mysef after I kept telling everyone it was the Libertarian.

    It is on my to buy list. 1075 sounds good to me. And I have just the task specific use for it.

    1075 is better stuff than a lot of folks give it credit for. In a mass production situation it's much easier to reliably and properly heat treat than 1095 is and achieves excellent hardness for hard-use tools.
