Mustard is one Ive not done. I did envy the one Jeff did on his JG3.
Did a vinegar bath on the RB3 and the JG3 came with the same. The CR i think ill just let it do its own thing. The amount of meat and food its seeing should coat it nicely.

All good info. From you guys on Patina and everything else as well. That JG3 is only two weeks old. Been carrying it daily, trying to decide about forcing a patina or just letting it go. Thinking I'll just let it happen. Really love the Camp-Lore line and all things ESEE.

I think the acid bath is probably a poor decision if I'm gonna be using knife for food prep, which I will be amongst other things.

Letting it go tells a story for sure. I have some marks on my blades that i know exactly when it happened and it takes me back in time. The camping trip where it rained and snowed and my sheath got soaked in water and rusted up my little mook. Stuff like that.

@Strigidae did you modify the sheath to make it fit and hang better strong side. I really like the sheath but the fitment isn't adequate to really hold the knife other than just going on a walk, also was thinking of sewing a loop into it for a danger style sheath just to bring the sheath up another half inch or better. Any thoughts on this

I made one. I have very specific things i want in a sheath and i like them to ride high and not poke the chair when i sit down. Also, matching my belt etc is a high priority. HA!

I did consider taking it down and adjusting the belt loop to a higher ride.

Can you post pics. I would like to keep the original as the user if I can modify it so it will work but I have a pretty good feeling I'm gonna end up trying to get someone to make me one

You wanna make another one for me? That looks awesome...I hope to get a leather working table set up in the shop soon but I'm swamped with wood working projects and getting the shop setup, we just moved and then I have a bathroom remodel in the near future here....pretty hectic and still getting the garden in order, it's been crazy

IMG_1022.JPG Whittling some apple on the hillbilly patio before the rain starts. More I use the JG3 the more I like it. From slicing cheese to whittling to anything I grab it for. That crescent shape fits just right. RB3 and that new PR4 are on my list.

I will post some stuff here in the near future. I've been having a hard time getting caught up around here with the move. I still got a pile of boxes and furniture in the yard haha.
