Looking good MOS, let us know how they do ON/OFF road. Tell me about the accesory mount on your handlebar?
On-road they're not as nimble as my ContiAttack SM's obviously. They're a bit noisy but anything that'll handle off-road will be. The braking isn't as good on them as the SM's but those SM's are a purpose-built race tire basically. I had them leaned a little but not hard as they're still scrubbing in and I think they will be solid for my needs. (Gotta compromise to have both). I briefly had them off-road to see how they handle- maybe 20 minutes total. They are pretty solid IMO but they're certainly not motocross knobbies. I went through dirt, a little mud, hardpack fire road, and a little bit of some nasty sand. It handled everything really nicely for 50/50 but I was on the gas hard and leaning back to make it through the sand. I think when I eventually go to a thinner front tire I'll enjoy it even more off-road. The phone mount is made my Mob Armor and makes me feel really secure about leaving my iPhone in it. I used to use the x-grip from RAM but too many guys I know have lost their phone because of it. They performed really well for me today. I really need a skinnier front but until Avon comes out with a 17" front this is what I'm stuck with. Overall I love them so far though.
Here's a pic from many moons ago when I was reasonably skinny... I had just picked up the Bell Morningstar and was on the way home. Still have both of them, though the canoe is spending more time hanging from the rafters than in the water.
That's freaking sweet. Let me know how you like the light bar. On one hand the added light would be awesome, but many of the places I ride I would get it hung up.
Popped my trucks cherry today. Had to slut it up a bit with some stickers . I feel like these are a great start.
