I understand. My CRK Tanto Zaan showed up in the mail today. This is my first CRK. It took me a while to pull the trigger as this is now the most expensive knife I own by a respectable margin. But I get it. It is to me worth every dollar. I see an Inkosi in my future.

Not stoked on the lanyard but I don't feel like messING with the tolerances to put a different one on yet.

@Expat I promise to actually use it to so I don't end up like your knife company rants lol

You are not going to mess up the tolerances of the Zaan. It is very easy to disassemble and reassemble. I feel that a lanyard is nothing more than a pull cord for a thief. Congrats, on the Zaan.

Cut the lanyard off. There are plenty of people on this forum to talk you through reassembly if you take it apart and get messed up. CRK's are one of the easiest knives to put together. It is simplicity of form.

I liked the/a lanyard a lot. Sometimes hands are too hard to get in pocket.

Agreed. I've never had an easier folder to take apart and reassemble.

One knife I wish I would have kept. Had a Startac Umnum. Great blade. Will pick up another one day.

I hate lanyards on folders. Hell I don't like them on most fixed blades. To me they normally just don't serve a purpose. Choppers I get, just to keep it attached to your hand. But other than that, nope. One more thing to get hung up on a branch or a pickpockets hand. Plus if you do a lot of skinning, butchering and food prep, it's just a porous place for bacteria to hide.
