Ok so I am cooking a traditional New Years feast at the house today, I just wanted to see what everyone else is doing. I am fixin a mess of collard greens Some black eyed peas I also have 4 lbs of smoked hog jowl between the 2 pots. I have a 13 lb turkey in the oven and I'm fixing to start marking a banana nut bread for desert. So who's hungry.
No pics, but we had: turnip greens, blackeyed peas, ham, fried potatoes, cornbread, and sweet tea. Awesome way to start the year!
She is loving the Kitchen Aid mixer I got her. Expensive piece of equipment but it'll get alot of use. I'll be doing loaves of semolina this week
**** Yeah!! Especially pizza dough. It really shows. Cheese is another thing. Polly-O is only available at one place out here. Thank God for that one place.
Sptachcocked turkey. Brined turkey for three days, seasoned with Tony's creole seasoning and roasted on my Big Green Egg for over two hours.
Secret family recipe, goes back to my great, great, great grandmother. Not sure how food.com got it?? http://www.food.com/recipe/roman-style-chicken-168137
