Ok so one thing I learned at Ditch Medicine was the importance of carrying a piece of webbing about 25' or so. It can be used or so many different things from lashing to being able to drag victims.

So I got 25" of Polypropylene webbing as it doesn't absorb water as much as the other varieties. Now I'm trying to figure the best way to carry it. Do i leave it in the roll, do I daisy chain it?

How do you carry yours or any ideas?

It's way more compact if you leave it rolled...

I used to carry some in case I needed to make a Swiss Seat.

Then, when my daughter started walking I found that webbing plus a couple of carabiners and some rope made for a good "leash" when we were on trails with a drop off, on climbs where she wanted to do it herself, etc.

Gave her practice and freedom while she was very young while allowing me enough control.

I still have a roll somewhere. Thanks for the reminder that I need to throw it back in my pack.

I bought some at Bass Pro.
Carry a 12' piece tied and rolled, as Uncle Hugh taught us.
Rides in the front pouch of whatever pack I am carrying.

I keep mine in my silk gland. I have a weird cousin that stores it in his wrists for some reason.

You'll want it to be easy to get to, use, and put away. Just daisy chain it. I teach technical rescue for our SAR unit. If you wanna be fancy, you can 'lobster-tail' it.

Tom Evans finally posted a video on how to lobster tail webbing on youtube. I had told him he needed to post one.
