It is a legitimate fixed blade gentleman's knife. It wasn't cheap either. I picked it up at a knife show that had a large number of Missouri based (my home state for you international guys) custom knife makers. It was a small one man shop but I liked his work and he did everything on the knife himself including a nice kydex sheath with it.
Sounds like an LT Wright Coyote to me. These are my edc-able fixed blades photo from a few months ago. Honerable mention to the BRKT Little Carver and adventurer and a fiddleback runt. Also the Fall Creek Necker. Top to bottom, starting on the left is BRK Little Carver, Fiddleback Runt, ESEE candiru, Spyderco Chaparral, Spyderco Manix 2 XL, ESEE Izula, Fall Creek Necker, TM Hunt Little Bad Axe, ZT 0560, BRK Adventurer 2, Bradford Guardian 3, Nighthaxen Lime Cutter, LT Wright Coyote, Benchmade Contego, ZT 0452, WA Surls Muskrat, Fiddleback Bushboot and Fiddleback Hiking Buddy both fit that beautiful sheath Grog made, Fall Creek Urge, Spyderco Military, Spyderco PM2, Fiddleback Handyman, Nick Allen Personal, and Hinderer FXM
You wouldn't believe the stuff I carry in my pocket on Sunday mornings which, by definition, makes it my "church knife" for that day.
lol, ESEE 6 has been my church knife, CS trail master, and a few other bigger fixed blades... this one's mostly worn to funerals, weddings, or Easter/Christmas services.
This knife is made by a local (St Louis) knife maker, Rob Ratliff. As you can see on the blade above it is D2 steel with 304 stainless bolsters and jade handles. He makes his own sheaths in kydex. Size comparison to my Case featured earlier in the thread. Most certainly could be carried as a neck knife as well.
