Picked up this li'l Olamic necker in a trade with @IW17.

I believe the drop-point blade is no longer offer from Olamic (maybe as a custom?) and I couldn't really find much info. about it, but I think the Damascus is layered high carbon and vanadium. OD Green G10 handle.

It's my first Damascus knife, so I have been enamored with the pattern and composition. The size is pretty compact, I would say it's akin to a Candiru, but the deep cutaway and enlarged handle/pommel area make for a solid and comfortable fit in-hand.

There are some photo skills here that always impress me. That Olamic looks awesome. I can't imagine I would have liked it from most photos.

This freaking thread is killing me. I have hundreds of knives. I was happy with them yesterday. Now I need 92 more.

Just realized this was in a drawer. Got it out, cleaned her up, and put a fresh edge on it. Amazingly light with the CF scales.

Hey..Thanks for doing this post. I was planning on doing a mod something like this to mine, but I think I will pass. However I will be opening up the small area at the rear of the blade to work with my fire steel. I am going to pass on the jimping on the top...

Thanks, Dubz!. This is the first one in its size, the other was 10% larger, really nice heft.
Stay tuned for 3 more 'muks in progress that should be finished in the next month or two.
