Ok, Donkey aka Ronnie Hood is history. I will go through the rest of this thread when I have time and anyone posting political content will also be on that list. You people need to start reading the rules.

That's who that was?! I always wonder who reports stuff and brings it to your attention to get someone banned. Obviously I'm not asking who it was but it has always made me wonder who here would do that.

One of the mods asked me if donkey was ronnie so I did an IP cross check and email check and it was indeed him, so he's banned again. I banned all his used IPs this time so maybe he will stay gone. But to your point, there is nothing wrong with someone reporting rules violations on this forum. I rarely read any of the posts here so when someone brings my attention to something I start looking deeper. It's how we keep it clean. I can't tell you how many emails from different people I got on the old forum begging us to clean it up and get rid of some of the useless stuff. So, now we run it as a tight ship and we have folks complaining because it's run this way. But to that point, NO POLITICAL DISCUSSION means exactly what it says. We tried a political forum and you see where that went. So, now there is a ban on any political discussion. Period. Anyone who doesn't want to play by our rules can leave. Pretty simple.

Fair enough. You're far more tech savvy than I could hope to be with that investigation work. Nothing wrong with people reporting I just always wonder what bothers someone enough to report it.

Hmm. I'm curious about why Donkey is listed as "member" (looking back at his last post in this thread on the last page) instead of "banned". Maybe the software isn't set up to automatically list him as banned. I have no concerns about this; just curious about how forum software works.

I've only heard stories, and I'm pretty sure most of them were from a different forum.
Reportedly just a notorious character. Troll IIRC.

Most forums I have been on will show "Banned" or "Banned Member" etc under the username/below the avatar. It appears that the software here displays the username struck through with a line as you see above. This is the first forum I have seen that format on, though the outcome is the same.

Interesting. On my browser, I see no strikethrough line.

It took a few days for Frankenstein/EMetcalf to show as banned member.

I remember Ronnie Hood from the old forum. I remember his input on some topics that was nonconfrontational. When he signed up as donkey he said something about being a formerly banned douche or something to that effect and that it wasn't going to happen again HAHAHA

    What EXACTLY considered "political"?

ie a list of no go content , topics etc.

Just trying to help some members who may not be sure.....:(

I hope my YouTube video of Ten Veterans and the USA Flag is not a bannable offence.

Just did a flint and steel/char-cloth demo for a couple friends at work who are going camping in CO for the holiday. I had found some pieces of flint in the parking lot and was testing them with my esee fire steel. Their reaction shocked the crap out of me, acting like it was some David Blaine magic show. Guess I just thought every guy played with stuff like that as a kid, made me appreciate my childhood more.

How bad is it, man? I always mod and reshape blades, maybe I can make something out of your situation.

Thanks for the offer man, but I doubt it can be saved; I took off quite a bit of material. It's not that bad, I guess. I tried to even it out a bit, but the depth/width between the peaks is definitely not even. The (extra) space up front is actually pretty comfy for my fat thumbs, though :)

This is how she sits, now:
