I'm getting there... the main thing is taking care of taxes.

We do. My gf and I each have 50 acres, about 2 miles apart. We live at her place, mine is in soil conservation. Her rentals will actually pay our taxes, but there's also upkeep on the rentals.

That is a great goal to have. I also have the same goal. I’m down to 28 hours a week give it take. 20 hours would be the sweet spot for me.

I started watching the walking dead for the first couple seasons but I just lost interest. It's kinda hard watching European actors trying to be Georgia rednecks. I do like Norman Reedus though.

My issue was how much they drug out the story lines. It became "Days of Our Lives: Zombies" in Season 3.

Put fresh bandages and alcohol pads in my first aid kits.

I've gotta get some fresh meds for them both and some tourniquets for them now.

And it snowing now. Monday and Tuesday another little storm coming threw. So the season should be here for another few weeks at least.

Evening everyone. Just an update, I had a mri done on my heart and my doctor wanted to follow up with a CT scan, escutcheon I had done Monday. I spoke with my doctor earlier and got the rundown on what's going on. So my heart is in decent shape, but I have a 4 cm aortic aneurysm. I'm ok for now, but it can dissect or rupture at 5-5.5 cm. I guess they grow slow, average 1-2mm per year, so as long as I take care of myself that's 5-10 years before that could happen. She wants me to do a CT scan every 6 months to keep an eye on it. Unfortunately I'm limited in what I can do, lift, etc.. She don't think surgery is necessary at this time, but will have to see how fast it grows.

I was camping Friday night when a rain and wind storm BLEW through camp....
60MPH winds crushed my tent breaking 1 of the poles (So the tent couldn't stay upright).. SO I spent the night under a broken tent while rain poured on top of me....
Def one of the most memorable camp experience I've ever had!
So now I have to buy a new tent..

That stinks man. Can you get one of the tent pole repair kits or did it damage the tent too badly?

    @TerryD
    It was a total loss…

But REI had 1 day left on their 20% off for members so I got a really decent tent for under $300..

I am a scheduled for 20 ish days in a tent over the next 60 days so I needed something good.

WAY more than I wanted to spend but it should last me a good long time.

This 1000% original , complete, old 1930's car , was sent for scrap.

    That sucks.
So I’m in MA we have scrap yards all the old vehicles go to. And people can pick them apart for as long as the yard wants to keep them.
I hooked up with a guy in NC for LUV parts because down there the car go to a scrap yard and they have something like 60 days (maybe someone here can correct that) then they have to scrap the entire vehicle. That’s nuts to me. So this kid I know has about 60 LUVs in his yard.
I find the state law to be stupid. You force people like him to make scrap yards in residential areas instead of just letting the scrap yard keep scrap.

This has been happening for as long as the “Cash for Clunkers” movement has been around. I remember it from the 90’s/Clinton era. The loss of classic steel was a mortifying thing to the wrench cranking grease saturated motorheads like me. :(
