You have to be the only other one from around here since @Frankenstein. And that @JMJ guy, what an AH
Installed the control lever on the right side of the usp since I have the handicap of being left handed. Picked up a kt mech holster for it. I’m impressed so far with the holster. Custom made in USA, 2 week turnaround time, total cost with shipping was about $56. Glock 21 for comparison.
https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2022/11/30/alex-young-acquires-colt-ohws/ Some very cool info on Colts entry to SOCOM's offensive handgun search in the early 90's that HK eventually won. I have some time with a MK23 as well as a Colt Double Eagle, both of which are just odd guns. This one was just a disaster.
I might have shown these before. I am old and forgetful. Yet I feel a duty to bring culture to you rabble creatures. And this is Flintlock Friday. All these have barrels near 44”. Reloading one in a small elevated blind should have been filmed. I have built three flintlocks so far from kits. They shoot round patched lead balls. Any groups I shoot better than this are pure luck especially further than 75 meters. The .50is about 1900 fps. The .40 2100. I can get more velocity but see little need. Everyone else on the internet can shoot these much better than I. I suspect they have studied some of this new marksmanship like the new math. Open sights are a challenge to my 1950s issue eyeballs. I have trouble figuring out which rear sight to use.
I live behind enemy lines in NYS so I don’t get to have much cool stuff. What I do have has to be neutered. 10 round mags, no pistol grip semi-auto rifles etc… So please no laughing Glock 19 Holosun 507 AR10 in 308, 1-8 lpvo and offset holosun 407 AR15 holosun 510 Beretta 1301 12 ga
……..oh man. ……I won’t laugh at you. But I will feel bad for you. that non AR you have there must shoot soooo much slower and so much more in accurate because of that stupid ……I’ll be nice I like the beretta and I have the 507 it’s a great setup.
Nice paint. Rattle canning is fun. This 7mag was all black at one time. Pretty pointless going out hunting antelope in camouflage clothes and a nice black rifle. If you have seen them, they probably have already seen you. No need to give them an advantage with a black rig.
I’m not a Hunter so I just do it for fun. That and everyone is so scared of black guns. My next paint job I do I want more in the browns like yours
I like the rustoleum sand, it’s closer to a dead grass color than the camo khaki. I used aervoe field drab and sand on the 7mag for earth tones. Rustoleum satin nutmeg is pretty close to a coyote brown. The chocolate brown in the krylon and rustoleum camo paints are too dark in my opinion.
