    Lets Talk Kettles, Specifically ones that you can use over a open Campfire.

    Any Recommendations?

    Thoughts? Ideas?

    Anyone know about the Big Kettle @Patrick Rollins uses over the fire at Bushcraft class?? @shaneadams90

    You want lightweight or cast iron ?

    I'm a huge fan of the Zebra Billy Pots and my Lodge Cast Iron for for truck camping, and titanium Billy pots for hiking, like this one

    best part about titanium Billy pots , if you get stuck food or burnt food on it, you can just set the empty pot over hot coals and all the stuck / burnt food turns to sterilized white ash

    I use quite a few smaller ones for hiking/solo camping, Optimus Terra Kettle, Esbit kettle, GSI Halulite kettle are a few favorites. I also bought my wife a very nice heavy duty Stainless Zebra brand Kettle, it is every bit as stout as their billy pots.

    @Bushman5
    Im trying to find something large enough for a small scout troop.

    I remember Patrick had a Large Kettle not really a pot at Bushcraft class. According to Patrick's wife it even had it own name :)

    The Silver kettle in the picture below is what i am trying to find.

    Ill see if sharing a Facebook photo link will work. This is @shaneadams90 Photo. It will not let me share where it was linked from...

    you can get some pretty dang big SS or Enamel GSI coffee pots. They have the inner perk pieces but you can use or not as you want. I have a 12 cup, all stainless, has a bail for hanging. Pretty near indestructible. They get bigger, up in the 25-26 cup range.

    @Ballenxj
    Probably not practical in the big picture. But I appreciate the idea. I actually have a unopened turkey cooker ( pandemic buy..) just like you listed I might crack it open and see what I can do if all else fails.

    thinking along in this same vein: look up stainless milking buckets on Amazon. I have a couple for butchery and compost tasks. Thick heavy duty stainless with strong bails. (Just adding to the ideas pile.)
