We get that a lot, but just a day or two in between.

Thankfully right now it’s the difference between 60f and 80f, but still.

Pick one and stick with it Mother Nature! Lol

    You can keep that.

We had 50s and rain for Easter, which is kinda typical.

Will be 80 by the middle of the week.
    Then back in the 60s.

They just seemed like they could slide off. Could just be my overactive imagination. But a few stainless quick links later and the attachments are now foolproof

We are 67 degrees on the east half of the state, humidity in the 90s.

Clouds have cleared off on the west half of the state and the humidity is single digits. Temps are almost 100 degrees.
Storms are forming already on the dry line right now.

I just don’t see how they will have enough energy to be crazy severe by the time they get here. Doesn’t seem hot enough.

    Guess we will see.

This is pretty cool, one of the weather guys sketched it out by hand and put on twitter.

The little flags are wind speed and direction. The length and number of the little tails tells you how fast.
Classic storm setup for the plains. Dry, west wind behind the front. Moist southerly winds in front. Storms blow up and the converging air masses make them start spinning. They start out spinning parallel to the ground, like a tire does. The strong updraft into the supercell pulls the rotation upward with it and here we go.

    One confirmed out west already.

Handful of confirmed tornadoes so far.

Hard for the spotters to see them, rain is coming down at around 7” per hour in the worst parts of the storms.

Even when there isn’t a tornado the wind is over 70 mph, even over 80 at times.

So crazy the way these storms take in the air on the east side.

By radar this thing is a mile or less from me to the west and there isn’t a breath of wind.

Here in a minute it’s gonna be getting with it.

Thankfully all the tornado warnings expired before it got to the metro area and it turned into a more widespread wind and hail event. Still continuing to weaken.
