How do you like it? Do you find the handle to be too thin?

I actually like it a lot. (Almost what I would consider my perfect edc/backpacking folder). It is very thin, but that’s actually why I gravitated towards it. Low pocket signature. I’m always looking for the line between what is as light as possible and still strong. I think some would probably argue that it’s uncomfortably thin, but for me it just kinda works.

I have one of these aluminum scaled Benchmade Bailouts too, and agree that it's a great EDC folder. Carries well in pocket because of it's thinness.

I never looked into the bailout much. I wasn't aware it was an aluminum handled knife? I've used a bugout and while it does what it was meant to do it just feels TO light. To flexy for me. I might have to look into a bailout sometime if they're aluminum. Might be a better "bugout" then the bugout

There are 2 handle versions, the standard frn/grivory one and the aluminum one. The standard one feels more or less like the Bugout (has a bit of flex, very lightweight). The aluminum one comes with upgraded M4 steel for the blade and feels much more heavy duty in hand, but still very pocketable for EDC because it's slim. The Bailout shown in post #2461 above is the aluminum handled version.

100%. Yup, the one pictured is the aluminum handled version. Feels a bit more robust.

There are a lot of aftermarket micarta, g10, and titanium scales of different patterns and colors for the Bugout currently. I’ve held a couple and they honestly MAKE the knife. I have a bunch of items saved in my proverbial shopping carts on BHQ and Etsy for multiple Bugout builds. Just waiting for the right deal on the knives to come around. But if you already had the knife and like the profile, definitely switch out the scales to something more rigid.

That works for some but not for me. I can't justify buying a folder with the intentions of changing the scales out to make it acceptable. There are endless options by countless big name brands, you should be able to find something that fits the bill IMHO. I've always liked the bugout for shape size and pocketability but the soft flex scales bugged me. (See what I did there? Lol). A stiffer stock option is an option though.
I'm not saying anything is wrong with the bugout, its just not what I myself want in a folder. Thanks for the ideas though, happy hunting

Is that your first folder with a wave opener?

I believe so. I hate it lol. Nah I hate the wave feature. I’m trying to learn to draw it with out utilizing the wave. The knife is amazing I just don’t care for that aggressive opening. Freaks people out. Almost dropped the knife a few times cause of the wave.

Lol I’m addicted to it, wish my Benchmade’s had it. Just slide it a little fwd in your pocket before you pull it out and it shouldn’t engage the opener. At least that’s how my waved Endura and the Kershaw I gave a friend worked.

I can see where that sorta deployment wouldn’t be ideal. I grew to love it cause I work on the water so much.

I really like the new Adamas, based on pictures and reviews that I checked.
A bit thinner blade for better cutting, still massively overbuilt, but the price is scandalous. Here it costs the same as a Junglas and an Izzy 2 combined

I'm with you. I cut the the wave "hook" off my ZT0620. Big improvement.

Holysheeit! I got this one second hand from a friend for $100. Then sent it to Benchmade and had the combo blade swapped to a full plain edged one for $40. I’d be hard pressed to buy any Benchmades new anymore after getting this Adamas and my Contego both used. Benchmade still honored any warranty work and they went through and tuned both for free.
