Hey everyone. I'm always trying to find some new things to adopt as family or personal traditions around holidays. I was curious if anyone has an interesting of off kilter July 4th traditions?

A couple of ours are an annual watching of the John Adams miniseries leading up to the 4th. Motorcycle ride with some friends the morning of and the ubiquitous family barbecue for dinner before fireworks. Seems a bit lacking.

Even thou they might have plenty of life left in them. We replace our outdoor American Flag every 4th of July.

The old flag then gets retired to a Boy scout troop or VFW.

We also have some bigger then normal American Flags that we fly on special days that also get put out for the 4th.

Cookout with extended family during the day and then a bonfire and fireworks at night.
